Old Versions of Some of the Most Popular Websites

Have you ever wondered how some of your mostly used websites looked a decade ago? In this post we will take a look at the old versions of some of the most popular websites.

Have you ever wondered how some of the popular websites, that you use regularly, looked years ago?

In one of my previous posts, I talked about viewing old versions of a website using a very handy online tool. You can use that tool to find and view older versions of any website (active or inactive) on the Internet, as long as they are archived.

In this post, I will show you how the most popular websites looked years ago using that tool, the WayBack Machine.

Google

Google is the most popular search engine today and below you can see how it looked in 1998 (Dec).

As you can see from the above screenshots, these popular websites have gone through major changes and improvements not only in their style but also in the features they offer. You can use the WayBack Machine to view older versions of other popular websites as well. Note that some websites such as Facebook and Twitter are excluded from this tool, so that you will not be able to find their old versions using this tool.
