How to Close Tabs to the Right of a Tab in Google Chrome

You can close multiple tabs to the right of the active tab at once and we will demonstrate how to do that in this tutorial.

If you are working on multiple tabs in Google Chrome at the same time, knowing how to close the tabs to the right of the active one might come handy especially if you have dozens of tabs open simultaneously and need to quickly close some of the unused tabs.

Here is how that is done:

1. Select the tab that you want to close the rest of the tabs to the right of it by clicking on its title bar.

2. Right click on the tab title bar and select Close tabs to the right from the menu.

This will close all the tabs to the right of the active tab and keep the active tab and all the tabs to the left of it open.

You can also directly right click on any tab's title bar to close all the tabs to the right of it but it is safer to first select the tab you want to keep open in order to prevent closing the tabs that you need by mistake.
